The simplest way to install ZoomDown is:
- Download the install bundle
- Run one setup command once
- Install ZoomDown, then launch it with one click later
This is the recommended path and works more reliably across Chromium browsers.
Advanced option
Some browsers block this and show a misleading “contains system files” error.
✅ Step 2: Run this one-time setup command.
Run this in the folder that contains the downloaded or extracted files:
./serve.sh
Step 3: ZoomDown will open automatically in your browser. Install it from the toolbar button or the address bar.
Later launches: macOS — double-click Start ZoomDown.command. Linux — double-click Start ZoomDown.desktop or run Start ZoomDown.sh.
